The Earth Is
The Lord’s
The Earth Is The Lord's Prayer Vigil began in 2022 with a clear vision given to Tallie Carter - to remind the world of a profound truth from Psalm 24:1: "The Earth Is The Lord's, the fullness thereof and ALL ITS INHABITANTS."
What started as a prayer gathering has grown into the largest Earth Day prayer event globally. Now in our fourth year, we're expanding into year-round programs through our Covenant partnerships, uniting believers who are passionate about climate action and environmental stewardship.
Each year, we bring together an extraordinary community. All united in one purpose: to pray, present, and praise God for His creation while taking meaningful action for its care.

History of
Earth Day
Earth Day began in 1970 with the Clean Air Act, marking a turning point in environmental awareness. For over 50 years, April 22nd has stood as an annual reminder of our responsibility to protect Earth's resources for future generations.
In 2022, we added a new dimension to this legacy - bringing together Christian leaders worldwide to pray for and actively participate in creation care.

As Christians, we are called to pray without ceasing. The Earth Is The Lord's Prayer Vigil creates a sacred time and space for the Christian Sustainability community to unite in prayer during Earth Day.
