About The Earth Is the Lords
What is The Earth Is the Lord’s?
The Earth Day 24-Hour Prayer Vigil was founded by Tallie Carter to call back to the remembrance of humankind that “The Earth Is the Lord’s, the fullness thereof and ALL ITS INHABITANTS.” (Psalm 24:1) Organized as the largest prayer event on Earth Day covering the globe. Now in its 3rd year is growing into year-round programs and Covenant partners who strive to bring awareness of global climate action and inform on how individually and collectively, we can make the difference needed to steward the Earth.
Prayer warriors, intercessors, pastors, prophets, ministers, teachers, evangelists, deacons, artists, country representatives, climate action organizations and individuals gathered to pray, present and praise God for his creation.

What’s the History of Earth Day?
The first Earth Day was held in 1970 in commemoration of the Clean Air Act and has been held annually on April 22nd ever since. “It is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earths natural resources for future generations.” (National Geographic)
